Overview In today's fast-paced, technology-driven market, a highly skilled and well-educated workforce is vital to an organization's economic survival. To meet this need, the field of training and development is growing in the United States at a staggering rate. In addition to this increase in training volume, there is a growing trend toward shifting training responsibilities from professional trainers to non-trainers, such as managers, team leaders and technical workers. The Train-the-Trainer Certificate Program provides novice and seasoned training professionals with the necessary knowledge and skill foundation to deliver effective training that transfers smoothly to the work environment. Audience These courses are designed for: - workers preparing to enter the training and development field
- practicing training professionals who wish to enhance their skills
- managers, supervisors or staff professionals with training and development responsibilities
Program Structure The program consists of seven courses for a total of 77 hours and 7.7 continuing education units (CEUs). It is recommended that participants begin with Business of Training and Development as a program prerequisite. Sacramento State Alumni Current Alumni members are entitled to a 15% discount for courses in the Train-the-Trainer program. To receive the discount, participants must provide proof of their Alumni membership at time of registration. American Society for Training and Development/Sacramento Members Members of American Society for Training and Development/Sacramento Chapter may apply for a 10% discount for courses in the Train-the-Trainer program.
