This course will explore various aspects of leadership and how effective leadership can positively influence the organization and its employees. Course will cover the characteristics of an effective leader; the process of influencing; leadership styles; and effective approaches to decision making.

(October 12, 2009) Kris Lea is working as a training developer for Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) in Sacramento, CA. Her role involves developing and delivering a large-scale training program for an IT implementation for a local state agency. Kris has worked as a training professional in many industries: high tech (Intel Corporation); healthcare (Kaiser Permanente), and now, in transportation (SAIC). She also works part time with CSUS, College of Continuing Education (CCE) in various programs. She has an undergraduate degree in Information Systems from the University of Phoenix; a certificate in Instructional Design from CSUS-CCE; and a Masters of Science in Organization Development from University of San Francisco.
