OverviewIn today's fast-paced, technology-driven market, a highly skilled and well-educated workforce is vital to an organization's economic survival. To meet this need, the field of training and development is growing in the United States at a staggering rate. In addition to this increase in training volume, there is a growing trend toward shifting training responsibilities from professional trainers to non-trainers, such as managers, team leaders and technical workers. The Train the Trainer Certificate Program provides the necessary knowledge and skill foundation to deliver effective training that transfers smoothly to the work environment. Program StructureThe program consists of seven courses for a total of 84 hours of instruction and 8.4 continuing education units (CEUs). Full-time participants can complete the program within six months. All courses are held in Napa Hall on the Sacramento State campus. Members of ASTD/Sacramento Chapter may apply for a 10% discount for courses in the Train-the-Trainer program.
