Project Management Certificate Program

Why take this program?
There's a lot riding on your project including it's benefit to your organization and its reflection of your abilities. You want to ensure success but know that it hinges on the expertise and cooperation of others. Learn proven effective strategies to deliver projects on time and within budget in the Project Management program. You'll develop a disciplined approached to projects that includes risk assessment, quality assurance, and team communication.

The Sacramento State, College of Continuing Education is a Registered Education Provider with the Project Management Institute (PMI). Our certificate program prepares participants to pass the certification test and become Project Management Professionals (PMP). The certification is globally recognized and increases employability and 'promote-ability'.

    Program Structure
    The certificate program is comprised of six courses for a total of 9.0 continuing education units (CEUs). Participants begin with Basics of Project Management Subsequent courses, with the exception of Project Planning and Design (prerequisite to Project Execution and Control), may be taken in any order.

    Sacramento State Alumni
    Current Alumni members are entitled to a 15% discount for courses in the Project Management Certificate Program. To receive the discount, participants must provide proof of their Alumni membership at the time of registration.

    Project Management Institute Members
    Project Management Institute (PMI) members are entitled to a 10% discount for courses in the Project Management Certificate Program. To receive the discount, participants must provide proof of membership at the time of registration.
