OverviewSacramento State offers off-campus teacher preparation credentials and master's degree programs in the Bay Area and online. These programs are sponsored through a partnership with the College of Education's Department of Special Education, Rehabilitation, and School Psychology and the College of Continuing Education. All coursework and experience in these programs meet the same admission, credential preparation and graduation requirements as those held on the Sacramento State campus. The programs offered include:
BenefitsProgram flexibility allows fully employed teachers and teachers' assistants to attend on a part-time basis via a variety of course formats including weekend, evening, workday and summer scheduling. Online and hybrid course options are also available. Most participants complete the credential requirements within three years. StructureParticipants may enroll in each of the prerequisite courses and no more than six required units prior to admission to the credential program. Coursework may transfer from other universities with advisor approval. Personal program advising is offered at each location on a regular basis.
