Description of Two-Day Training

Orientation training for new Perinatal Services Coordinators (PSC). A two-day training will be offered to staff of local health jurisdictions who work with the Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP).  The class will be taught by experienced PSCs, and staff from the California Departments of Public Health and Health Care Services.

 

Primary Goals of Training

 

• Provide a complete overview of the CPSP
• Review all aspects of the role of the PSC as it relates to the CPSP
• Provide a comprehensive overview of the CPSP provider application process
• Develop an understanding of the Medi-Cal CPSP billing processes
• Review steps on the use of the Internet to carry-out the PSC CPSP scope of work

Your registration fee of $85 will include two breakfasts, two lunches, and all meeting materials.
Pending approval, CEUs will be provided.  Registration deadline is February 18, 2008.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations received in writing by the registration deadline date are subject to a $25 fee. After that date, refunds will not be provided; however, substitutions will be accepted. No-shows will be billed the full registration fee.

 

CONTINUING EDUCATION HOURS (CEHs)
Pending approval from the Board of Registered Nurses, MFT/LCSW’s and CHES units will be provided.

A block of rooms at the Larkspur Landing Hotel has been reserved at the state government rate of $84 per night. To make reservations, please call the hotel at (916) 646-1212 and reference the New PSC "Newcomers" Training. The hotel reservation deadline is February 4, 2008.

PARKING INFORMATION

Daily parking permits are required to park on campus. Parking permits will be available to pick-up at the registration counter inside the Alumni Center on the first day of the meeting.
