Continuing Education

 

In order to receive continuing education hours, participants must register on-site at the “Continuing Education Registration” table and follow the instructions provided by the Continuing Education staff. The Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs is subsidizing a portion of the continuing education fees, resulting in a reduced rate of $15 for processing continuing education credits (any number of credits, for professionals in any category listed below). The California State University, Sacramento, College of Continuing Education is an approved provider for the following and may offer continuing education hours pending approval:

 

  • Registered Nurses (RN’s): Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN), Provider Number 9655.
  • Marriage and Family Therapists (MFT’s), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW’s), and Marriage, Family and Child Counselors (MFCC’s): Provider approved by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), Provider Number PCE 4089.
  • Certified Addiction Specialists (CAS): Provider approved by the Board for Certification of Addiction Specialists, Provider Number 5039.

 

Pending approval, the following continuing education hours may be offered:

 

  • California Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (CAADAC)
  • California Association for Alcohol/Drug Educators (CAADE)
  • Indian Alcoholism Commission of California (IACC)
