Travel Bulletin:
The “boat section” of I-5 near downtown Sacramento will be closed intermittently for repairs between May 30 and July 15. Depending on where you live and work, this closure may cause you delays on your commute to and from work. The project affects Interstate Highway 5 between R Street and Richards Boulevard and includes a construction plan that will involve significant lane and ramp restrictions beginning May 30, 2008 and is expected to continue through July 15, 2008.
Managers and supervisors are aware of this problem and may allow you to participate in a temporary alternate work schedule, temporary flexible work schedule, and/or temporary telecommute schedule. It is the discretion of your manager or supervisor to approve any of these temporary alternate work arrangements, as they must also consider how your office can continue to meet its business and operational needs. The most current information about the I-5 closure and schedule is online at http://www.fixi5.com.
Questions concerning the temporary use of telecommuting options and alternate work schedule options should be directed to your immediate supervisor.
