How to Register

To ensure participation, register today or complete the Attendee Registration form found in the registration brochure and mail to:

Registration Fees

Early registration fee is $150 for California State Foster Parent Association (CSFPA) members on or before September 23, 2011 and $175 after September 23, 2011. Registration for non-members is $175. Registration includes reception on Wednesday; lunch on Thursday; and lunch on Friday.

NOTE: For first-time conference attendees, one year membership to the California State Foster Parent Association for the upcoming year is included in the registration fee. If you would like to verify your membership status, or if you have any questions regarding membership, please call Mary Haghenbeck at (510) 223-2022 or e-mail Mary at m.haghenbeck@sbcglobal.net.

CSFPA Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded to graduating high school foster children who wish to further their education or enroll in a technical training course leading to a certification in a life-training skill. All proceeds from the Silent Auction and the 50-50 Raffle will support the Association’s scholarship fund. These two activities are virtually the only source of funding for the Scholarship Program. Your participation is greatly appreciated.

A room block has been secured for Tuesday, October 4, 2011, through Friday, October 7, 2011. Please mention that you are attending the California State Foster Parent Association Training Conference to receive the special rate of $84 single/double occupancy, plus all applicable local and state taxes. The room reservation cut-off date is Monday, September 26, 2011. After this date, rooms will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the prevailing hotel room rate.

Silent Auction

Donations of various items (small household items, toys, linens, gift cards, etc.) are being solicited. All auction items will be on display during the conference. Minimum bids will be identified and each successive bid must increase by a minimum of $1. Bidding will continue until 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 7, 2011. Individuals, chapters, and other organizations are all invited to donate items for the auction. Please bring your items for auction to the conference.

50-50 Raffle

As in past conferences, tickets will be sold Wednesday through Friday at 11:00 a.m., for a 50-50 raffle. The winner will receive 50% of the drawing proceeds.
