If you are interested in creating meaningful parent participation in your workplace and moving beyond the traditional and limited roles of parents, this is the workshop for you.  Presenters will share vital elements from the Shared Leadership in Action program for planning, implementing, and supporting effective Shared Leadership strategies.  Participants will learn ways to overcome barriers so that parents can have active roles and stronger voices to allow full engagement in leadership activities.

Attend this workshop to learn the importance of diversity and how to improve the connection between families, communities and organizations.  Specific topics to be discussed include what it takes to incorporate diverse communities in your centers, what has been done with CAC development and FaCT FRCs, and the results to date.

Pathways to Parent Leadership:  Steps to Success

Our keynote speaker will deliver this workshop.  Participants will learn how to identify the milestones along the pathway of building parent leadership and understand what creates change within self, family and community.
