The California Health and Human Services (CHHS) Agency is hosting the first CHHS convocation with all department senior staff (SSM IIIs/equivalent* and above) to discuss the vision of the CHHS Agency and the priorities for the next four years.  Leading this effort, Secretary Kim Belshé will communicate her vision for the Agency and the goals established for the second term.  We will discuss leadership and CHHS core competencies.  Additionally, selected Agency Senior Staff, Directors and Chief Deputy Directors will give "real life" examples of our core competencies.  We will also discuss the Management Development Academy and how we will be developing the core competencies of CHHS leaders of tomorrow. 

 

We understand that this date may conflict with some already-planned high priority meetings or legislative hearings that may preclude some of your management team's participation.  We will have future convocations later in the year.  We look forward to your active participation and support of this important event.  

 

*OSI, OHI, MRMIB, EMSA, and CSD may invite SSM IIs or equivalent.
