Dear RMDZ Workshop Attendee:

It is our pleasure to invite you to the California Integrated Waste Management Board’s (CIWMB) “Zone Works” training workshop at the Mission Inn in Riverside, CA on February 21-22, 2008.

As many of you are aware, program staff at the CIWMB have been tasked with a special project to reassess the effectiveness of the Recycling Market Development Zone (RMDZ) program.  A survey was sent out to stakeholders in October 2007.  The goal of the Riverside workshop is to garner additional input from stakeholders on several specific program issues, ranging from the RMDZ loan cap and offering loans outside of established RMDZ’s to Zone Incentive Funds.

We strongly encourage you to attend and provide your comments on these issues!  Also, please invite others on your RMDZ team to what will be an interesting dialogue.  Board Member Rosalie Mule’ and Howard Levenson, Program Director for the Sustainability Program, will be in attendance - don’t miss an opportunity to meet and chat with them!  We look forward to a successful event and hope to see you this February in Riverside!
