Attendees will learn how to deal with attitudinal barriers, stereotypical thinking, and assumptions about what people can and can’t do in the workforce.  This workshop will provide departmental participants with the tools to raise awareness of diversity and sensitivity in recruiting, hiring, and retaining people with disabilities.

Eliminating barriers in the work place is often critical for successful hiring and retention of persons who have a disability.  In this workshop, attendees will learn what’s needed to make equitable, uniform and timely decisions that will ensure reasonable accommodation is provided to applicants for State jobs and employees with disabilities.
