Conference Fees

The advanced conference fee is $130 on or before October 22, 2007, including CEUs or CMEs.

The late conference fee is $145 after October 22, 2007, including CEUs or CMEs.

(For on-site registration please be sure to bring a business card for identification purposes.)

 

The fee for “NEXUS XII” includes a continental breakfast, lunch and all conference materials. Space is limited to the first 850 registrants. You are encouraged to register as early as possible. Individuals registering after October 22, 2007, may not receive their preferred workshop requests.

 

Scholarships

A limited number of scholarships are available for students and community-based organizations. For details, contact Loren Solem-Kuehl at ICAN (626) 455-4585.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing before October 22, 2007, are subject to a $25 cancellation fee. After that date, refunds will not be made, but substitutions will be allowed.

 

NO SHOWS WILL BE BILLED THE FULL CONFERENCE FEE.

 

Hotel Information

The Sheraton Universal Hotel is offering a special room rate for single or double occupancy for $192.78 per night, inclusive of all taxes. This rate is applicable only for overnight stay on Tuesday, November 13 and Wednesday, November 14, 2007, subject to room availability.


Please contact the Sheraton Universal Hotel at (818) 980-1212 or (888) 627-7186 no later than Monday, October 22, 2007, to make your hotel room reservations. Please be advised that reservations received after Monday, October 22, 2007, will be accepted on space and rate availability. Please identify your room reservation under the ICAN Associates room block. Parking

On the day of the conference, a special discounted parking rate of $8 is available at the Sheraton Universal Hotel’s parking structure. Overnight parking charges for hotel guests are $16 self parking and $21 valet parking. Overnight parking charges are subject to change without notice.

 

Continuing Education Units

CEU credits will be available for LCSWs and LMFTs and CME credits for physicians and nurses, as follows:

 

LCSWs and LMFTs

This course is approved for 6 Continuing Education Units by the Board of Behavioral Sciences, Provider Number PCE3704. LCSWs & LMFTs will be required to register at the continuing education table before the start of the conference and sign out at the end of the conference day. In addition, a signed evaluation form by the participant is required in order to ensure receiving CEUs. Certificates will be distributed at the end of the conference program - No Exceptions!

 

Physicians

The Perinatal Advisory Council - Leadership, Advocacy, and Consultation (PAC/LAC) is accredited by the Institute for Medical Quality/California Medical Association (IMQ/CMA) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. PAC/LAC takes responsibility for the content, quality and scientific integrity of this CME activity. This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the IMQ and the CMA’s CME Accreditation Standards through the Joint Sponsorship of PAC/LAC and Inter-Agency Council on Child Abuse and Neglect (ICAN). PAC/LAC designates this educational activity for a maximum of 6 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)(tm). Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. This credit may also be applied to the CMA Certification in Continuing Medical Education. Certificates will be distributed at the end of the conference program - No Exceptions!

 

Nurses

PAC/LAC is also approved as a provider by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP5862 for 7 contact hours of continuing education units. Certificates will be distributed at the end of the conference program - No Exceptions!

 

Please Note:

Participants arriving more than 15 minutes late for a 1 hour program or 30 minutes late for a 2 (or more) hour program will not be granted CME or CEU credits. Partial credit will not be awarded.
