Climate, economic and social changes are upon us. Join your peers for a Creative Collaborative Conversation to define a road forward for Watershed Management in California as we adapt in a changing world.
The Sacramento River Watershed Program, the Statewide Watershed Program and the State Water Resources Control Board invite you to attend and participate in an active public Forum on December 12-13, 2012 at the Lake Natoma Inn in Folsom.
Day One will be presentations of existing programs and tools across jurisdictions, and workgroup sessions to design a strategic set of actions for participants to promote in the coming year. The desired end result will be enhanced cross-discipline, cross-jurisdiction, and cross-program integration and collaboration. Day Two will be a half-day of presentations from actual programs who have successfully instituted collaborative multi-objective projects in local watersheds.
Help us assess together:
- How we can comply with regulatory requirements more effectively
- What tools and expertise we need to improve management and adaptations
- How we can more effectively use existing assets across scales and disciplines
Dialogue/Forum Purpose: To provide a creative dialogue among diverse watershed stakeholders to develop a strong case for multi-objective management with watersheds as a base, and that includes synchronizing programs and regulatory compliance, using existing tools and methods to implement and track management effects.
Dialogue/Forum Product: A set of strategic recommendations to policy makers, agency managers, legislators and others to enhance and support watershed management by integrating existing programs, using watershed boundaries as organizational units.
Registration will remain the low rate of only $50!**
**Hardship Waiver Application: If you are interested in attending the Forum and are unable to pay the $50 registration fee due to a hardship, email Dennis Bowker at firstname.lastname@example.org prior to registering.
