Federal, State, and Institutional Aid
Financial Aid may be available for students pursuing a first Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, or qualifying Credential. Additional information about Financial Aid is available through the Financial Aid office.
Sacramento State Financial Aid & Scholarship Office: https://webapps1.csus.edu/faid_general/
The first step in applying for financial aid is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/#
Once you have completed the FAFSA watch your My Sac State Student Center To Do list for additional required forms and documents.
Alternative Student Loans
Students not admitted to a degree program may wish to pursue an Alternative Student Loan. Alternative Student Loans are credit based loans available through banking institutions and not backed by the government. Please contact a bank of your choice to apply. These loans will require verification of enrollment in courses. This means that, in most cases, you will need to register and pay for your classes out of pocket before your loan will be funded.
Once we receive your completed registration form and fees, your registration is processed and a receipt is mailed to you within three weeks. Your registration is not complete until you have paid your fees. Without complete registration, you are not permitted to remain in class, unless approved in advance by the Dean of the College of Continuing Education. We reserve the right to discontinue, postpone or combine classes and/or change instructors. However, every effort is made to accommodate your academic needs.
To obtain a transcript of CEU courses, fill out the CEU Transcript Request Form and include a check payable to CSUS in the amount of $4 for the first transcript, plus $2 for each additional copy.
