How to Enroll in a Non-Credit / CEU Course
Determine the class(es) you want to enroll in. Fill out the Non-Credit / CEU Registration Form completely. Be sure to include your social security number when registering. It is used ONLY to verify identity. If your social security number is not included there may be a delay in processing your registration.
Four convenient ways to register:
- In Person at the College of Continuing Education located in Napa Hall, 3000 State University Drive East, Sacramento, CA 95819
- Phone-In using Visa, MasterCard or Discover Credit Card.
- For Non-credit or CEU classes call (916) 278-4433 (or Toll Free 1-800-858-7743).
- For Academic credit classes: (916) 278-6984
- Mail-In and Fax-In, fill out the appropriate forms below (instructions included).
- Online. Look for the "Register Online" button on the course selection page.

Registration Forms
Determine the class(es) you wish to enroll in. Check the "units" category. This indicates whether a class offers non-credit, academic credit, or CEUs. Fill out the appropriate form below, then print it out and send it in:

***Continuing Education reserves the right to discontinue, postpone or combine classes, and to change instructors; however, every effort is made to accommodate your academic needs.
Paying for Classes
- Write a Check or Money Order
payable to CSUS.
- Use Your Credit Card. We accept Visa, MasterCard or Discover
- Sacramento State Alumni Discount
- All Sacramento State alumni with a current alumni membership card are eligible for a 15% discount on individual and certificate program non-credit and CEU courses. (Not included in this offer are discounts on the executive program, travel study, crime and intelligence analysis, computer training, test prep classes, and the academic courses.)
- Receipts
- Once we receive your completed registration form and corresponding fees, we process your registration and mail a receipt to you within three weeks. Your registration is not complete until you have paid your fees. Without complete registration, you are not permitted to remain in class unless attendance is approved in advance by the Dean of the College of Continuing Education.
Financial Aid Options
The College of Continuing Education is self-supported and unable to offer direct financial aid. Participants are recommended to inquire about the TERI Continuing Education Loan Program now available through the Sacramento State Financial Aid Department . - Veteran’s Assistance
- Most Continuing Education programs are approved for training of veterans. If you are eligible for veteran’s educational benefits, please contact Information and Registration Services at (916) 278-4433, for information.
- Tax Credits
- If you are enrolled in an eligible degree or certificate program or are taking courses to acquire or improve job skills, you may qualify for a Hope Scholarship or Lifetime Learning Tax Credit.
- The Hope Scholarship
- Available only to students in the first two years of post-secondary education who are enrolled at least half time in an eligible program. Consult IRS Publication 970 or your tax advisor for additional information.
- The Lifetime Learning Tax Credit
- Available to students at all educational and enrollment levels who are enrolled at an eligible educational institution. The tax credits are based on the amount of qualified tuition and fees, less grants and other tax-free educational assistance, and the taxpayer’s modified adjusted gross income. Consult IRS Publication 970 or your tax advisor for additional information.
Registration Confirmations
Once we receive your completed registration form and fees, your registration is processed and a receipt is mailed to you within three weeks. Your registration is not complete until you have paid your fees. Without complete registration, you are not permitted to remain in class, unless approved in advance by the Dean of the College of Continuing Education. We reserve the right to discontinue, postpone or combine classes and/or change instructors. However, every effort is made to accommodate your academic needs.
CEU Transcripts
To obtain a transcript of CEU courses, fill out the CEU Transcript Request Form and include a check payable to CSUS in the amount of $4 for the first transcript, plus $2 for each additional copy. Please include your social security number and any related course information.
