The ELI believes that all students learning English should be given the opportunity to excel in a safe and encouraging environment. The ELI encourages autonomous, self-activated learning from all students. We support the study of authentic, meaningful language learning. The teachers at the ELI are enthusiastic, encouraging, and support each student’s English language learning progress and development.

American Language and Culture Program

American Language and Culture (ALC) programs provide intensive English language training and American cultural immersion to an international audience. Students take classes Monday through Friday in order to increase their ability to communicate in written and spoken English, while participating in extracurricular activities and field trips on the evenings and weekends. The English Placement Test is administered on the first day of the program and students are provided an optional Institutional TOEFL exam toward the end of the program. A certificate of participation will be awarded upon successful completion of this program.
