International Student Health Insurance
Purchase online!
It is mandatory for all international students (F visa) to have health insurance coverage throughout their studies at California State University, Sacramento (CSUS). International students are required to present detailed proof of health insurance coverage when they arrive on campus. All non-CSUS health insurance policies will be carefully reviewed by the ELI Staff and must meet minimal institutional requirements.
To purchase online:
- Go here
- Select the 2nd option (DO NOT SELECT the 1st option:
“Sacramento State – International” – this is for main campus only)
- Select “Enroll” and follow the steps.
Your “student ID#” is your CCE ID# (980-xx-xxxx) that you received in an email we sent you.
If you cannot find your CCE ID#, email us at eli@csus.edu.
Students will not be allowed to attend classes
without proof of health insurance.
International students are strongly encouraged to purchase the CSU ELI Student Health Insurance policy which exceeds the minimum requirements for health insurance coverage. If you are considering purchasing a policy other than the CSU International Student Health Insurance policy, then the policy must be pre-approved by the ELI and meet our requirements:
- Medical benefits of at least $50,000 per person per accident or illness
- A deductible of not more than $500
- Expenses associated with medical evacuation in the amount of $10,000
- Repatriation of remains in the amount of $7,500
- Policies must be provided in the English
The CSU ELI Student Health Insurance policy is administered by Wells Fargo of
California Insurance Services, Inc. and uses Anthem Blue Cross as the insurance provider.
