California State University, Sacramento has chosen a new dean of continuing education.

Guido Krickx is serving as associate dean and director of graduate business programs at St. Mary’s College in Moraga. He will join Sacramento State on Nov. 1.

The previous dean, Alice Tom, retired in late June.

Krickx has developed and directed graduate programs at four locations for St. Mary’s College. He also previously worked at California State University East Bay from 1997 to 2006.

The university said Krickx brings experience in global education and graduate degree development. He is also expected to identify new educational opportunities for nontraditional and traditional students.
