The California Tobacco Control Program (CTCP) and the Tobacco-Related Disease Research Program (TRDRP) proudly present a new and stimulating joint conference experience:
Linking Tobacco Control Research and Practice for a Healthier California
April 10 – 12, 2012
Hyatt Regency Sacramento
1209 L Street
Sacramento, California 95814
This conference is the first of its kind; CTCP and TRDRP are pleased to present a joint CTCP Project Directors’ and TRDRP Investigators’ Meeting.
This promises to be a very valuable experience for tobacco control advocates and researchers throughout the state. The first day will be science-focused, the second day will combine scientific and tobacco control program presentations, and the last day will be program-focused. Some conference highlights include:
- How tobacco control program and research can support implementation of the new Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act
- Introduction of two new CTCP tobacco control campaigns on tobacco waste and the tobacco retail environment
- Presentation of the CTCP Carol Russell and TRDRP Cornelius Hopper Awards
- Informative tobacco control science and program poster and workshop sessions
- Skills-based training workshops
Who Should Attend?
Tobacco control advocates and researchers, including programs funded by Proposition 99 (Tobacco Education and Research Oversight Committee, TRDRP, California Department of Education and CTCP). Note: All CTCP-funded agencies are required to send at least one representative to Day 2 and 3 of the Conference (April 11 & 12).
CTCP and TRDRP are conducting an abstract submission and review process to determine conference presenters and posters. Click on the abstract submission guidelines home page for more information.
