How many units can I take during Summer Session?

You are allowed to take up to 12 units during Summer Session. Any units beyond 12 requires a Summer Session Petition to Carry More Than 12 Units form submitted to the Registrar.

How many sessions do you offer?

There are 3 sessions. 

Session Dates
First 6-week session (6W1) 5/30 – 7/9
Second 6-week session (6W2) 7/10 – 8/20
Full 12-week session (12W) 5/30 – 8/20

Do I need to show you my transcripts for proof of prerequisite?

This is determined by the individual instructor, so please call the department for more information.

Can I use my VA waiver?

Effective September 2014, the College of Continuing Education ceased participation in the Military Tuition Assistance program. Due to lack of state and federal reimbursement, it is not possible to waive fees for veterans and their dependents in programs administered through the College of Continuing Education, including Summer Session and Winter Intersession.

Veterans and their dependents may continue to use waivers toward state-support programs offered during the traditional academic year terms (fall and spring).

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, personal checks, money orders and cash. 

Is financial aid available?

Yes, please visit the Sac State Financial Aid website after April 1 and fill out and submit the Summer financial aid application.

 

 

Are the Summer Session courses transferable? 

Yes, but please confirm with the university you are currently attending.
