Congratulations to the first graduates of the Workforce Development Professional Apprenticeship Program at the College of Continuing Education (CCE) at Sacramento State!

Sacramento Mayor-elect Darrell Steinberg saluted the class at their graduation ceremony on November 18, 2016 at CCE. He was joined by Diane Ravnik, chief of the California Division of Apprenticeship Standards, Bob Lanter, executive director of the California Workforce Association, and other leaders in the workforce industry.

Seventeen workforce development professionals from the Sacramento Employment and Training Agency (SETA), many of them job coaches, completed the program. Industry leaders say this apprenticeship program set a standard of training for workforce development professionals in all sectors – public, private and nonprofit – with graduates receiving a professional certificate that is valued across the industry.

Instructors Bob Lanter and Robin Purdy presented each graduate with a certificate of completion from Sacramento State.
