Women in Media Luncheon Recap
February 25, 2015
In February 2015, the Sacramento Alliance for Women in Media hosted a panel discussion on trends in continuing education. This not-for-profit organization is the leading resource for media and communication professionals in the Sacramento area, and is dedicated to continuing education for its members.
Naturally, CCE was delighted to contribute to this event. Our Associate Dean Jenni Murphy was part of the expert panel. She spoke about the importance of reaching out to students, and the future of higher education in Sacramento.
“I was so excited to speak at this event,” she says. “It was a great opportunity to share my experience of the unique challenges and opportunities for marketing higher ed, and to advocate for continuing education in Sacramento.”
The best and brightest from local media outlets and agencies were in attendance, including business owners and leaders in the community. “To see so many Sac State alums and accomplished women in one room, sharing a common focus on advancement — it was truly inspiring,” says Dr. Murphy.
