Leadership Builds on Your Natural Strengths

It’s pretty common to see managers stall in their leadership growth. And perhaps it’s something you sense in your own career.

Author and leadership coach Helen Horyza says, “Many people fear they are not up to the task of leadership,” and much like a self-fulfilling prophecy, they start to falter.

As a professional development coach, she helps individuals “overcome their self-limited belief.”

“We are all leaders in both our professional and personal lives. Everyone is capable of being an effective leader,” says Horyza. And she will dig deeper into successful leadership at a new one-day workshop at Sacramento State.

Leadership Development, Building on Your Natural Strengths takes place on Monday, March 13, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the College of Continuing Education. The workshop is geared for current supervisors, managers and aspiring leaders.

“Great leaders are coachable,” says Horyza, who provides “in-the-moment coaching that benefits everyone.”

Horyza calls her workshop motivational in nature, where participants practice concrete strategies they can use at work.
