Profile

As as a director in Student Affairs at Sacramento State, Haley Myers Dillon has worked tirelessly to help students in realizing their goals. She founded and chairs the annual, campus-wide entrepreneurial pitch competition called STRONG: Hornets Imagine Tomorrow’s Solutions, where Sac State students compete to win one of four $1,000 cash awards by presenting a 15-minute pitch to regional employers. 

Myers Dillon has a diverse background in business and marketing, as well as being a recreational runner, cyclist and triathlete. She guides students in the areas of entrepreneurship and innovation and helps them imagine novel ideas, products and solutions. 

As the director of Sac State’s Parents & Families Program, Myers Dillon regularly speaks with and writes to thousands of parents and students on strategies to successfully transition to Sacramento State.

Previously, she spent two years working in the California State Assembly and five years as a magazine editor. She received her bachelor’s degree in English from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and her master’s degree in public policy and administration from Sacramento State.
