Workforce Development Professional Instructor
Robin Purdy has planned and implemented federal workforce legislation, developed customer-centered workforce policy, engaged businesses and other partners in developing a one-stop system for job seekers and is now, preparing the next generation of workforce leaders in California as an instructor in CCE’s Workforce Development Professional Apprenticeship Program.
She retired from the Sacramento Employment and Training Agency (SETA) after 27 years - the last 14 as its deputy director of workforce development – before returning to SETA as a workforce consultant. She also serves as a consultant with Valley Vision in the Career Pathways Collective Impact.
Robin has planned and directed the operations of the America’s Job Centers of California system, collaborated with partners to develop sector initiatives, created regional strategic plans and discretionary grant proposals and developed performance management and evaluation systems.
Robin earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Berkeley.
