Robin Purdy spent nearly 30 years planning and implementing federal workforce legislation, developed customer-centered workforce policy, engaged businesses and other partners in developing a one-stop system focused on skill attainment and economic mobility, and is now preparing the next generation of workforce leaders in California as an instructor in CCE’s Workforce Development Professional Apprenticeship Program.
After retiring from the Sacramento Employment and Training Agency (SETA) after 27 years - the last 14 as its deputy director of workforce development - she has returned to SETA as a workforce consultant. She is also a consultant with Valley Vision in the Career Pathways Collective Impact. Robin has planned and directed the operations of the America’s Job Centers of California system; collaborated with regional economic development, business, education, labor, public sector workforce partners and Workforce Investment Boards to develop sector initiatives; created regional strategic plans and discretionary grant proposals and developed performance management and evaluation systems.
Robin earned her bachelor’s degree in University of California, Berkeley.
