Stewart Knox’s dedication to workforce development has defined his career. He is currently executive director and a governor appointee to the state Employment Training Panel. He has also served executive roles for a number of partnerships and municipalities and brings his strategic and practical leadership to CCE’s Workforce Development Professional Certificate and Apprenticeship programs.
Stewart teaches the “Business Engagement and Sector Strategies” class. Throughout his 20 plus years of experience, he has developed programs, grown budgets through grants and contracts for organizations, and become a policy expert in the industry for Northern California and the state as a whole. He has served as director of Nevada County’s Health and Human Services Agency and executive director of San Mateo County’s Workforce and Economic Development.
Stewart holds a bachelor’s degree in social science from Chico State.
