Battalion Chief Derek Parker of the Sacramento Fire Department was the driving force behind the Sacramento State Paramedic Program, started in 2009. Chief Parker was the program’s first director and in this second video explains how the students’ extensive training improved their proficiency and made the program one of the finest in California.
