The Play Therapy Certificate program has been approved to be offered through the College of Continuing Education starting in the summer of 2025.

Please fill out an interest form using this link to receive application information. Fees for the program are $550 per unit. There is also a $30 application fee.

EDC 477: Supervision in Play Therapy

• Units: 1 unit
• Dates: June 25 – Aug. 6 (with the exception of July 2 and 4)
• Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
• In-person, off campus (the instructor will teach the course from her play therapy office)
• Instructor: Lyla Tyler
• Course Fee: $550 per unit

EDC 242: Play and Art in Therapy with Children

• Units: 3 units
• Dates: June 27-Aug. 22 (with the exception of July 4)
• Fridays from 5 – 9 p.m.
• Saturday, July 19 and Saturday, Aug. 2, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
• In-person, Napa Hall Room TBD
• Instructor: Sarah Fitch
• Course Fee: $1,650

The application is due by Friday, June 6, 2025.

Applications will be reviewed June 6 – 12, 2025. Applicants will be notified of an admission decision on Friday, June 13, 2025.

Applicants who are selected will be automatically enrolled in the two summer courses (if needed) from June 16 – 20, 2025. The campus will be closed on Thursday, June 19, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday. Classes will begin on June 25.
