Heather Thompson
Speech Pathology and Audiology Professor


Dr. Heather Thompson is an assistant professor in the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology at Sacramento State and one of the faculty members of the Second Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology, a degree completion program coordinated by the College of Continuing Education.

A speech-language pathologist, Dr. Thompson earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of Waterloo, her master’s degree in speech-language pathology from Western University and her doctoral degree in speech-language pathology from University of Utah.

Dr. Thompson has made presentations in the U.S. and Canada and received a doctoral research award from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
