Dr. Benjamin Fell is the Interim Associate Dean for Academic and Professional Programs in the College of Continuing Education (CCE), leading a team of 25 dedicated professionals to deliver programs that increases access to higher education and promotes workforce development.

He joined Sacramento State in 2008 as an assistant professor of civil engineering, received tenure in 2013, promoted to professor in 2018, and served as department chair from 2015-2021. In 2021, he moved to CCE to lead the Academic Programs Unit as Interim Director, and was hired as Director of Academic and Professional Programs later that year.

His education background is in civil engineering, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, Master of Science from Stanford University, and Ph.D. from UC Davis. In his free time, Ben enjoys golfing, backpacking, hiking and spending time with family.
